No No Ade was doing the Football Card Show circuit and for those long line of fans who had been waiting for hours to get their card signed by the great ADE..................

I don't think Burnell attended either........he was probably soaking in a hot tub...."old age" ...

Re: 90% of Skins at voluntary workout: Who do you think wasn't there?

Regarding Arrington being at the voluntary workouts, this is from the WP:

Linebacker LaVar Arrington's appearance at Redskins Park for the start of the offseason conditioning workouts this week has been noteworthy, especially since Arrington recently returned from his honeymoon. Last offseason, Arrington frustrated the coaching staff by missing several voluntary sessions. Tailback Clinton Portis was also among the players who turned out, which was roughly 90 percent of the roster

Jumping to conclusions. How unusual.

Re: 90% of Skins at voluntary workout: Who do you think wasn't there?

PSUSKinsFan: Guess what, someone earlier in the thread said he wasn't there, I assumed they had a source. If not that had reason to believe that since the year before he missed multiple voluntary workouts. So don't get on your high Arrington horse and ride him into the model-player sunset.

Name once I've said I'm sure Penn State had academic violations? I've said I'm sure they have NCAA violations, that doesn't always mean giving students A's -- though if they had tutors doing homework I wouldn't be shocked.. Of course I can't prove it, schools cover this up and take forever to do so even with the appropriate resources. I promise you Penn State has broken NCAA rules, every school has.

Are you talking about when someone said that Arrington MAY have not been there because he MIGHT have been on his honeymoon? If so, that is just speculation on the part of that poster and unless he has direct ties with the team, it should just be treated as mere speculation and not fact.

Notice the ? mark, skinsfan? I said Arrington not there? If that's true, then he's a bad team leader (oh wait, he's a bad team leader anyways.)

Nice try, but wrong yet again. What you said was:
"Arrington not there? What a great team leader he is!" I don't see a "if that's true, then ...." anywhere in your post. What you did was take the speculation of another member and used it as an opportunity to rip a player that 90% of Skins fans dont' have a problem with, because that's what you do. I mean come on, if you are going to make asinine comments, at least stand behind them later.

Oh, and Spurrier is an idiot.
Coles is a spoiled brat.
And the team that you would have the Skins put together wouldn't win a game in 3 seasons.

And if your memory is failing you, Two years ago it was Arrington who got in the face of his teamates on the bus on the way home from a road loss when he was disgusted by the fact that almost everyone else on the team seemed satisfied to play like crap, show no heart or dedication, lose a game, and then joke around and have a good time on the way home as if nothing was wrong. Nobody else on that Skins team gave a crap about winning or putting in an honest day's work. And it was ARRINGTON who called them all on it. He wasn't yelling about how he wanted more money (ala Coles) or how he disagreed with his coach's playcalling (ala Coles), or how his stats weren't up to where he wanted them (ala Coles). He was trying to get his team to play inspired football for once because their coach (moron Spurrier) wouldn't say "boo" to any one of them because it could have led to an argument that would have made him late for his tee time. So you (who support Spurrier and Coles) are THE VERY LAST person who should be passing any judgment on who is a good team leader for the Skins.

Are you sure you're a Redskins fan? I mean, I don't mean to sound like I am flaming you or anything, but I hear more negative things from your post about our team and present players than positive. I mean, if you're that ill toward this team, why do you even pull for them? It's one thing to show cautious optimism about the team's progress, but it's quite another to sound as if you're hoping the present coaching staff and the players fail. Is it out of possible vindication for your boy Spurrier failing in the NFL? As much as you might try to deny it, all of us here can obviously see you don't want our present coaches to succeed. You call the rest of us Gibbs worshipers....but I can tell ya, even if Gibbs was fired tomorrow, I would still pull for the Redskins and support whoever inherited the coaching job. I did that with Petitbone, Turner, Shotty, Spurrier, and now Gibbs. In retrospect, I see who was cut out to lead this team and who wasn't, but I supported whoever was coaching until they left Redskins Park for good.

And the thing with Arrington, I just don't get it man. What is this illness toward Arrington? At least he appears to WANT to be in Washington..and I'm sorry, but as a fan, anyone who vocally states they don't want to be here shouldn't let the door hit them in the rear when they walk out of the 'Skins locker room. I don't feel sorry for them. I respect the guys who want to stay here and be a part of a system they believe in. I respect those guys that are willing to go through this journey to see where we wind up when it's all said and done. I don't wish anything bad on the players who have left, I'll always like Smoot, Pierce, and even Champ Bailey....because I think he's one of the best in the league. But, I'm not going to cry when they choose to go elsewhere, I am going to do my job as a fan in supporting the team, the players and coaches that are here right now and want to see this team succeed.

And as Coach Vermil has stated, coaches don't just coach players to be football players, but they coach players to be complete well-rounded individuals...these are the guys you look up to...these are the guys that will give you 100%. I say, let's hope that is what the current Redskins players are....total well-rounded players.
