I really enjoyed that post game speech by McNabb. It HAS been a long time since the Redskins have had such a leader at the quarterback position. I just hope the 'skins can win a ring for him before he calls it quits.

If we stink it up the rest of the season and next season too, you're more than welcome to beat me up! :thumb:

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Redskins at Eagles)

We have a new coach, new GM, new players, and a new QB on our team that stunk last year. It's going to take a little while. Those expecting to roll up 30 pts a game are unrealistic. We need several good drafts before this team is an upper tier team.

With all of that, to beat an NFC east team by 5 pts on the road? I'm happy.

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Redskins at Eagles)

The top 3 missed "Smackdowns" that deserved to be laid:
1. Josh Bidwell- This dude is hot garbage. He must be Bruce Allen's golfing buddy or something because he should have never been signed. We had a probowl caliber punter last year and he needs to be resigned immediately.

2. Devin Thomas- There is no reason Joey Galloway should be on this team or in the starting lineup. DT needs to step it up and take his spot already. This is getting rediculous.
3. Rabach- He is the worst center in the league right now. How did he get an extension? He misses bad on blocks and 90% of the time I see him on the ground or being abused on the interior like a catholic school boy. Can he get some kind of push on run plays. It seems the RB's have to jump over his ass to get any kind of decent yardage.

I have to agree this guy is awful. Where is Hunter Smith I thought we were re-signing.

Worst? How can you say that after the last game. I mean no doubt the fan base in general doesn't like him, but to say he's the worst Center in the league, or starting Center for that matter is a bit of an overstatement. Scout's Inc has him tied as the 18th best Center in the league. Sounds about right to me.

Didn't you get the memo? We always have the worst... everything.

I don't know about the worst center but certainly the worst 4.1 million dollars a year center in the league.

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Redskins at Eagles)

Hey guys, I'm posting today to eat CROW. After the Rams game, I posted some pretty depressing thoughts about this team and I seriously wondered how they would ever win another game this year. Now I don't know what to believe, other than to say WAY TO GO REDSKINS! 2-2 is not great, but if you would have said we were going 2-2 before the season started and said, pick the 2 teams you want our wins to be against.... Dallas and Philly are obviously the best two choices. Now, can this team beat the Packers or the Colts over the next two weeks? At this point I think anything could happen.

If you don't want to grow old before your time watching this team, just watch the final play of the game each week, because that is what the Skins are all about. Its never easy, but its always entertaining!

Likewise.

Really impressed and happy with this win. Looks like we'll be that team that can literally win or lose any game any week.

Don't like to talk too much smack after a win but here's what I got:

- "Holding, number 74 offense. 10 yard penalty, repeat x down..."

- "Before the snap, number 74 offense. 5 yard penalty, repeat x down..."

- I can't believe I still have to hear this crap every game. But I will admit, Heyer is so bad, I'm starting to like him, kinda like George Costanza said: "She just dislikes me so much, it's irresistable."

- I won't lose any sleep if I never see Buchanon on the field again.

- We SERIOUSLY need the Red Snapper back. We haven't had an easy FG or PAT attempt all year.

- Los, Los, Los... It's beyond joking already. One of the most amazing things I've seen in my life. His nickname should be 0/100.

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Redskins at Eagles)

Heyer. Sellers. McNabb. Rogers. Bidwell.

While it was ugly, a win is a win is a win, especially against a division foe. The Eagles had scored 20, 35, and 28 points in the prior 3 weeks, so 12 points is something for the defense to hang their hat on.

The execution was better this week than last, but isn't anywhere near where the Skins need to be. I think they are heading in the right direction, and the next 2 weeks will tell us how good this team really is.
