Merriman back to full strength?

BTW...I absolutely LOVE the search feature on this board,so thank you on this...Very cool!

Anyways...Apparently,Shawn Merriman has been placed on IR with a calf injury...,but apparently,he MUST be released as soon as he is healthy from the injury.

Now,depending on the severity of his calf injury,if he were to be healthy in a few weeks and then released...should we take a look at this guy? He would be perfect for our 3-4 Defense and is only 26 years old.

The San Diego Chargers have announced they have placed LB Shawne Merriman (calf) on Injured Reserve. Merriman received a minor-injury designation, which means the Chargers will have to release Merriman when he is healthy.
