I didn't expect a win tonight but we were in this until the very end. We look much much better this year. It's obvious our coach has made a huge difference. We just couldn't seem to stop Peyton Manning - his no-huddle offense did us in.

Our schedule has been BRUTAL so far and we're .500.

We're a solid team.

*We began the downfall of Dallas.
*We lost to Houston only because our kicker was iced.
*Rams - well, we blew that one but the Rams are looking legit this year, could end up .500 at year-end in that division.
*We beat a solid Philly team.
*We beat Green Bay, the popular SB pick from the NFC.
*We hung with and nearly beat PEYTON MANNING.

Add to that our opponent casualty list...we're a force in the NFC.

1 win out of first place and those teams ahead of us have not played as many tough teams as us...but they will in the remainder of the year. Dallas is sunk.

Philly sched:
L - Packers
W - Lions (barely, by a FG)
W - Jags
L - SKINS
W - 49ers (barely, by a FG)
W - Falcons = 1st impressive win of year, lost DeSean Jackson?

NJ sched:
W - Panthers
L - Colts blew them out 38-14
L - Titans blew them out 29-10
W - Bears
W - Texans, impressive win
W - Lions, only 28-20

We've been in EVERY game except the 2 TD-loss to the Rams and considering we're installing a new offense with new QB with a new coordinator, a new defense (big change) with a new coordinator and all done under a new head coach and GM...we're progressing fine. Our offense AND defense are both looking better each week. We'll be firing on all cylinders soon enough.

Our remaining schedule:

Bears = W
Lions = W
*bye*
Eagles = W, we've proven we can beat them already
Titans = test
Vikings = test if they start rolling, but beatable as they are playing now
Giants = possible test but they either win or get blown out it seems
Bucs = W, they're not as good as their record
Cowgirls = W
Jags = W, they've had some impressive wins, but Garrard can't carry them all year
Giants = see above

I'm not saying we'll win every game, but every game we're playing from here out is definitely WINNABLE. The Titans matchup is our toughest-remaining game.

He ran pretty well as I'd expect him to against a poor run defense. As Collingsworth pointed out stop trying to bounce everything outside and just lower your pads and get 2-4 tough yards.

Definitely agree with that, as there was multiple runs today that went for losses when he tried to bounce it outside, but you and I know that if he had gone inside and picked up 2-4 tough yards we'd have fans in here bitching and saying why didn't he try and bounce it outside? I definitely agree though about him just going inside, on that one run where we lost 5 yards in the red zone I thought he could've picked up between 2-4 had he taken it right up that hole off the right side.

Other then that I though he played very well. Torain runs with authority.

I have a bad feeling about his durability, but right now he really is a beast.

These next 2 games were always must wins GMAC.

They are NFC games and we need to win those as they are more important than the AFC games.

I aways thought the Bears and Lions games are huge. The Bears game in particular is a big game as they are in the mix for the playoffs.

I realize they're important, but now that were a game back in the division, they're must wins. If we're 4-2 right now, I think we could "afford" to lose one.... but I get your point as well.

Re: Week 6:Redskins vs. Colts Gameday thread

You know honestly I'm not as upset as I figured I'd be. Even though we were down by 10 most of the game we managed to at least have a shot at the end to tie/win. We could've won this game if we had managed to execute a little better, if Carlos/Kareem didn't drop picks, if McNabb's final throw had been 1 foot higher, but I don't want to be one to play the what if game. I feel like this team has improved but obviously we have more room for improvement. I guess I'm just disappointed because I would've loved to see this team beat a defacto contender like Indy but at least we made strides.

No the next 2 are must wins. We really need a game where we put it all together and put a team down. I'm looking at you Chi. Hopefully we start playing above our opponents rather than to them. A nice sound convincing win is in order for the long term but I'll take one any way we can get it. Hopefully we post.

I'll second that opinion man. If there ever was a game to let us know we can have a complete, dominant, performance, it's Chicago. For as many sacks as we get and as horrible as Chicago's offensive line is, I would hope to see a 5+ sack game from us next week. I wouldn't love for anything more than to see a game where offense executes fine and our defense completely shuts down an opposing offense. They average 4 sacks a game given up, and I think they've already given up 27 sacks in 6 games this season. This should be a game where everything comes together and gives us a boost that we need.

@Skinsfan69: Agreed, I'm definitely not trying to sound like an ATV hater because that's exactly what I'm not. He's been great back there and my only real concern is his durability.

Do you people honestly think this is a playoff team? I don't.

Wel we've beaten 3 teams almost everyone declared playoff locks when the season started, so let's not take that away from the skins
