Merriman is a used up has been.

Lots of people thought Randy Moss was a used up "has been",when playing in Oakland as well...then he goes to New England

Some people though L.T. was a used up "has been",then he went to the jets.

Some people thought Julius Peppers was a used up has been,then he went to the Bears.

The point I'm making is...some players just need a change of scenery,to get back to what they once were....

And Merriman,is younger than all 3 guys I have as examples above.

I'm not saying he will immediately become a hall of famer if we sign him....
But the risk of signing this guy for pennies in Free agency is worth the reward we could get if Merriman can go back to old form.

You guys think Orakpo is good?
if Merriman went back to the form he once was....Orakpo would be the 2nd best LB on the team...

Merriman was an absolute monster beast!!
