He played in one offense for 11 years, and he's 7 games into this new offense, so an adjustment period has to be expected. Just saying it's nice to have a ground game to fall back on for now, but McNabb definitely needs to start picking up his game. Just a little premature to write him off as finished, or assume he's not going to get a new contract here, as some are suggesting.

It's not unreasonable to give a guy a 5 or 6 game adjustment period. But, you know, McNabb turns 34 in November. He's gotten by on veteran guile to this point, keeping us in winnable games, but there's no reason to believe that we would have pulled the trigger on a trade where 1/2 of the way into the remainder of the contract, it's still a "learning experience."

Everyone realized that the only reason you pull the trigger on the trade is to win games in 2010. We're winning games, it's true, but the passing game is non-existent.
