Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
A lot of teams passed on him, many that could have used WR help. Kinda tells the story right there.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Insanity, pure insanity. Are they REALLY sure that one of the 5-10 best WRs in the game couldn't help this team out? If they are trying to set a new standard for character on this team than it is somewhat defensible. However every single draft pick and free agent better pass the smell test from here on out!

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
T.O. and Moss on the free market in the same season and we don't bite. With all the stupid moves we have done over the years, I can understand why, but we actually could have used one of these guys. O well...

Also isnt it worth it to recoup a 3rd rounder when we are once again short on draft picks?

But imagine this....Moss for half a season...for nothing but cash....and a decent pick to use on a center/RB/OLB I told you guys that Bruce Allen was average. How come the Titans continue to win and make this deal happen...do any of us think the Skins FO is better than theirs? They are probably laughing their butts off right now

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Titans are selling out bcuz they know VY isn't a good enough QB to lead them to a super bowl. I do think this will make CJ28 even more dangerous If that's possible

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Oh and lets not forget we get to play the titans in two weeks, judging on how badly we have covered tall elite WRs like Andre and Calvin Johnson I wonder how badly he is going to burn us?

They're the favorite right now to win the whole thing. They were the favorite before Moss, but he helps their cause.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
It would have been nice if this team had added Randy Moss.
Of course, what many teams are in agreement about is that there shouldn't be a long line to stand in to add Randy Moss. He doesn't offer a ton of value to an NFL offense, say the Patriots and the Vikings. And he's a king-sized pain in the rear. And doesn't play special teams. Completely justifiable to pass on adding Moss right now. Just don't know if I would have done it.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
After watching Moss give up playing for the Vikings a second time why the hell would we want him. If we did add him it might (thats a very big might)lead us to maybe one or two more victories but he is not going to carry us to the SB so its just a waist.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
one or two wins to a likely 7-9 team is the difference between the playoffs and the worst position you can have....barely not making it and getting screwed on next years schedule and lame draft pick position.

(except Santana) Not to mention, his mere presence would create huge opportunities for TE's and the other WR's and could potentially loosen up running lanes for our struggling running game...UGH!

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
A few things I alluded to earlier...
1) Moss probably commands some sort of leverage towards sitting out if he doesn't like the team. I can see him not wanting to deal with the, "Shanahan Factor" for lack of a better term (maybe Cardiovascular Factor?). He probably sent out a message to all the teams that will attempt to sign him. If I don't like you, I'm going to talk about how much I love Tom Brady and how much I had your coach. 2) This probably wasn't a good fit for the organization. Part of it has to do with Randy Moss' mental state. It doesn't mesh well with this team. Yeah, I've heard the "Not in our long term plan" argument... but neither is Joey Galloway (or Santana for that matter). He is a potential short term disaster, and that carries over to the credibility of the coach. Just look how stupid Childress looks right now. You think he's coaching the Vikings next year? 3) Who cares about a late round 5th round pick. It's not worth anything... lets just move along...and suck it up. It's not the end of the world, it's not the death of society.... nor is it the end of this season. Pretty much nothing has changed. In fact... Nothing has changed. 4) Yeah, I too entertained the idea of McNabb to Moss plural. It's fun to think about... but so is Jessica Alba. I'll go back to thinking about the latter.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Shanny and R. Moss would probably be butting heads every damn week. Shanahan wants to see 100% effort from his guys. Moss never gives that kind of effort.
I'm still not sure myself which side to take, but that's probably Shanahan's perspective.
