J. Cambell played at a high level in college also but alot of our fans wanted him gone. Now they want us to tryout a worse QB. How does that work? JC should still be here.

I thought that the circus left town last year, I guess that I was wrong.

This guy has more business wearing a bra than trying out for any NFL team, he is a bust.

Exactly. That said though, loyal readers of the WP may be wondering why this didn't happen earlier (probably bc he just got cleared of charges) since the hint about the skins interest was dropped in July

I can't believe the hate I'm seeing. We're working him out. If he sucks ass do you really think they will sign him? Come on guys, I thought you were smarter than that. Like Matty said we're probably just gathering info for the future. I doubt he'll be signed during this season.

It's funny to hear everyone say he's a proven bust. What a load of crap. He might be a bust, but it's far from proven.

Considering how coddled and entitled elite athletes are coming out of college, it is no wonder most of them are not mature. Being a successful NFL player requires a ton of maturity and dedication -- something that's hard to get from a 21yo with a $50 million contract, who has been spoiled all their life. Add to that the fact that he was drafted into a dysfunctional organization, and the guy barely had any chance to learn any discipline.

I'm not saying that maturity is his only problem, but it is his biggest. But, time and adversity are good catalysts for maturation, so it's possible he's ready to work hard. Time will tell.

BS argument. Good QBs at least show flashes of good play from the get-go. Even Brees was starting to light it up for San Diego, and then he got his shoulder whacked.

Right. Like Trent Green. Or, Tom Brady. QB talent evaluation is sure-fire, can't miss in the NFL.

Showing flashes IN real GAMES is what I meant. Not when they're drafted, not when they haven't played

Being forced on the bench and not playing at all is not the same as given the starting job and playing like shit. The former situation, the QB is not playing in games. In the latter, the QB is playing in games.

When Trent played, even my little 10-year old eyes could tell he had something special.

Brady lit it up and helped his team to a Super Bowl in his first season.

Russell had 2 years show AT LEAST SOMETHING, and he didn't. Actually, we stomped him into embarrassment last year. Rak would not have had 4 sacks if he wasn't a clueless bum out there.

Forget the details, you missed the point about QB talent evaluation.

Let me remind you that Al Davis benched Marcus Allen and Eric Dickerson for Nick Bell in 1992. Two Hall of Famers were benched for a scrub. It means nothing that he was benched by arguably the most dysfunctional organization in the last 20 years.

Seriously though, this is a good pick up. We need interior line help. In all honesty, I don't really see the harm here

I agree there is no harm in working him out but I just dont see why with all the other problems this team has they would bother wasting their time with this guy.
