First I've heard of those comments from Feinstein. I know Jason Whitlock made some similar comments (though he later backtracked) saying something like "I'm surprised Shanahan didn't tell McNabb to sit on the bench and eat some fried chicken" but several other members of the media responded to Whitlock's comments and said this had nothing to do with race, and to play the race card or accuse Shanahan of being racist was out of line.
