Re: LOL @ Redskins

Yeah I know who he is, unfortunately. At least Stern admits he doesn't know sports.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

Hicks would be better off going back to the bench for depth. There's no way he's starting here next year.

I've been saying bench Hicks and start Dockery in his place, assuming Dockery can play RG.

Fairweather fans are the worthless jokes.

You expected instant success when changing EVERYTHING? Yeah, we took an embarrassing beating, but we're on track to double our win total.

idk man, times are hard right now. times have been hard for 10 years. snyder and co have been losing alot of next generation fans with years of FO incompetence, a penchant for hyping the "the time is now" mantra with a consistent smattering of truly embarrassing beat downs on nat'l tv.

me and the lady were walking around georgetown monday afternoon before the game and saw 2 people wearing skins stuff. 1 worked at urban outfitters, the other was in his car. thats it. years past this town bled the B n G. i remember and lived the glory days but those days are long gone and lost on the new generation.

losing out on the next generation of should-be skins fans is going to hurt snyder, it already has.

Changing systems doesn't mean looking like complete shit against quality opponents.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

is there anything related to j brown's work ethic? is he a gaither type player that doesnt work/practice/study hard? for some reason i remember some grumbling of that out of new orleans.

yes, hicks has disappointed me as well. i was hoping for a kendall/thomas type pick up where he quietly holds down his spot.

on rabach, im guessin it his ability to read Ds and call blocking assignments out that got him an extension. i dont think mawae would be an upgrade and idr any other real options at center this offseason. to be honest, id rather have a cerebral but physically over matched center considering the revolving door we rightfully anticipated having with both guard spots.

in the eagles game i did see lichensteiger have 2 rushers coming at him, he chipped both guys and mcnabb got the pass off. he didnt really block either one but he was smart enough to recognize he had responsibility on both guys and chipped both instead of picking one to block and letting the other go free. it was encouraging to see

Re: LOL @ Redskins

It was documented a few weeks ago that we've only been in a true 3-4 about 30% of the time. Maybe someone can dig it up. Remember that a 3 man front doesn't always mean we're in a 3-4. There are other sets that use less than 4 DL.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

i hope rogers doesnt go. one of the few competent pieces on D imo. i hope we keep our 1st and 2nd round pick too.

wouldnt it be weird if vick wins MVP and kolb is traded to us to back up mcnabb for 1 year?

Re: LOL @ Redskins

What happened on Monday night was flat out disgraceful. They disgraced themselves, the city of DC, the fans, every Redskin player that ever played and they disgraced the NFL. There's no way you get beatdown in an important game at home against a division rival. You would have thought the Eagles were the best team ever Monday night. How does Shanny let that happen?

I don't know what is, but there's something terribly wrong with this franchise. They just can't get it right. Until we actually rebuild, we can expect more of the same. As a longtime fan, I'm embarrassed by what happened Monday.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

welcome DM72, yeah alot of fans and posters on here share your sentiment. personally i dont see the MNF disaster as an indictment against Shanny or the skins future success as much as I see it as vick played bananas, eagles got the bounces and we played horrible.

to be honest, we could benefit from such a debacle b/c it may force shanny, shanny jr and haslett to really look in depth at our problems. it could be what we needed to force a serious and honest look at what we are doing coaching wise. sometimes problems lead to opportunities to get better.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

How can Portis come back. He did nothing this year, or last year. I know he was injured both times, but still. We need to get young at that position....
