Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Can they use the term "future draft pick" or "player to be named later" to get around this CBA handcuffing?

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Why has JJ Watt not gotten more hype? I'm doing some research on pass rushers now, and while looking at the combine numbers realized how much of an animal he is. Lets take a look at how he compares to the other defensive linemen physically.
At 6-5, 290 lbs he still ranked 2nd in the 20 yard shuttle-4.21 3rd in the 3 cone drill-6.88 3rd in the broad jump-10'2 2nd in the vert jump-37 in 4th in the bench press (this includes defensive tackles)-34 reps The only thing he didn't excel at was he ranked 15 in the 40 yd dash. But I'd say running a 4.84 when you are 290 lbs is pretty good. (he ran a 4.78 on his pro day) He had 7 sacks which is not elite numbers, but all 7 came in games against the big 10. He also had 62 total tackles and interception. He seems like solid pick at 3-4 end. I know shannahan wants a linebacker, but we also need d-linemen. Improved D-line play could also improve our linebacker play. I'm not saying we should for sure take him, just at least take a closer look at him. Something to consider |

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Me: So what do you think Kyle wants to do? Any free agents or rookies he's got his eye on?
Anonymous Source: He seems to be really intrigued by Andy Dalton

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
I'm okay with that, but I was really hoping you were going to say Colin Kaepernick. Is there anyway you can use Jedi mind tricks to alter his thoughts and then edit the post to match?

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
I think Kyle and Mike should see what they have to do in order to get Orton, he'd be a good fit in kyles offense

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
In 2006 I mocked the Bears mercilessly for their QB stable. Although Orton and Grossman are not the same players that they were in 2006, I will cry if we go Bears II.
