I like this as well, but I think NE might would jump up to take Jordan. It's a huge gamble.

Jordan with the first pick.
Ponder with the second. (or move up to end of first)

A lot of people like the Dalton kid. I never trust a ginger, myself.

Just as I read your post I see this tweet from Mort

"Trade Buzz: New England looking to trade with Dallas to get Cameron Jordan #NFLDraft"

If Jordan is still on the board when we pick we may have a trading partner that will net us a 2nd round pick.

Interesting mock draft (podcast) by the NFP guys. They have us trading with St. Louis, picking Cameron Jordan at #14 and picking up a 3rd rounder.

AdamSchefter Adam Schefter
Any proposed Cowboys-Patriots trade will not happen. Yet there are any number of teams interested in moving back, including Dallas.

Mine definitely is.

In regards to the Schefter tweet above. Any team would be foolish to trade anywhere right now without seeing who's on the board first. Not unless you plan on going to #1.

Well obviously they wouldn't trade up until that team was on the board

I present evidence that some teams are this foolish.

Scout.com: Draft Trade: Why?

ON A TUESDAY!

Had they waited, maybe they could have traded up ahead of Green Bay for Rodgers.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft

I hope we trade down with Atlanta so they can get Julio Jones. We pick up their 1st, 2nd and something else. Then we use that pick to get Phil Taylor and Leonard Hankerson or Ryan Williams.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft

Latest is Patriots and Falcons each have tentative deals in place to move into the top 10. Not sure with you. Falcons may be with Cleveland and NE with San Fran

Re: 2011 NFL Draft

Brian Baldinger: Just talked with Bruce Allen who said this draft is all about big men. Allen likes Tyron Smith. Been fielding trade offers from teams behind him. We have to stay married to our board.

What a shame. Rational thought has arrived in Ashburn.

Hmmm, that'd be a shocker
