dang sirCP, you are all doom n gloom this year buddy. that must suck to be taking this seasons 4-5 record off a 4-12 season so seriously. my advice is to try and find the silver lining in this upcoming game. maybe trent looks good, maybe we knock a few titans on their backs, ya know stuff like that. if we end up 7-9 or 8-8, thats real progress imo.

You talk as if we have a 3 in 4 chance(75%, aka 12-4 give or take a couple) of winning every game. Did I travel back in time to when that was for real?

This team is 45%W/55%L kind of team who makes some plays one week and falter the next.

Just another example that the attitude of EXPECTING to win has transformed into just HOPING to win. Maybe we'll get lucky Johnson blows out his knee, maybe Bironas has an off day. Hopefully Rogers will catch one. Hopefully Hall doesn't shit things up. Yeah, in the past, people KNEW Darrell Green was going to shut down receivers. People KNEW Monk was going to make the plays to keep drives alive because they and the rest of the team were THAT good.

Small bites, but there's going to be a bunch of guys retiring and leaving for FA in the next three years. This improvement is transient, and not going to last past McNabb's last season here, whenever it is.

Just want to make sure my math skills are right. Currently we are 4-5. So to be 7-9 we would need to win 3 out of 7 remaining games. Which is 43%. So if we are a 45% / 55% w/l team like you said, than 7-8 wins kinda fits about where we would be. If we were a 3 outta 4 type team, people would be talking 10-11 wins.

I think most people agree that we have as much chance to lose any given game, but we have made opportunities to win many of the games as well.

It's fine tho', clearly these aren't the dominant Skins of '91, and if that's the only way that you can have positive comments about them then that's the way it is.
