Unrelated, something tells me Banks will not play 4 quarters this week.
With Rogers and Landry both out along with Hicks think they had other more pressing needs but to your point, he traveled with them bc they weren't sure about Banks, they feel good about him and apparently plan on putting him in for many plays

Do you think there is any chance we will see him (Banks) in a receiver type situation?

I agree with you, Logic says to get him the ball quick and let his feet go to work.

I know he's short but they can send him deep if he can break. If their D plays him deep, they take that away but give up the short field, where he can be equally dangerous. It will be interesting, we may be able to use him as the Mike Vick of WR's.

Interesting that Barnes is going to see a big role despite Buchanon and Westbrook having more experience. Apparently Haslett wants to "evaluate" him. Redskins Insider - Carlos Rogers, LaRon Landry will not play vs. Titans

Giving Barnes an "evaluation," Austin getting called up, Banks seeing an expanded role... Looks like we're trying to see what kind of quality youth we have moving forward. I like it. I know there are 7 games left and all, but it's good to see the coaching staff being realistic and giving the young guys a shot. Playoffs ain't happening, lets see what we have for the future.

Best case scenario, the youth influx is a shot in the arm and we make a push, worse case we at least know where we stand with some of our younger question marks.
