Yes, during the George Welsh years we were consistently good. One season in the early '90's we went undefeated deep into the year and were in national championship talk. Of course in classic Cavalier fashion we choked down the stretch and lost out on the national championship.

During my freshman year at UVa (1980), Playboy magazine ranked us as the worst team in the country and may have been correct in doing so.

As a UVA grad you should know better then using the word "undefeated" and "lost" in the same paragraph. LOL
