As a season ticket holder by far the most fights I see are between Redskins fans and.... other Redskins fans.

This is a big part of why I don't waste my time/money going to games. Besides, HD tv and the RedZone channel make the NFL so much more fun on television.

Plus traffic and parking.. I love watching the games at my house, I'm 5 mins away from Owen Field here in Norman and I hardly ever go to games

Honestly though, college games really are a different experience. When I lived in Gainesville, most of the time I was walking distance from the Swamp. The wife (then my girlfriend) and I would get up on gamedays, make breakfast, and walk downtown to meet some friends at a tailgate, then just stroll into the stadium. It's right in the heart of downtown, and so easy to deal with. I guess it's different in small towns. Plus they don't sell booze in the games, which really helps as far as morons in the stands.

FedEx field is such a stupid, overpriced, clusterf*ck of an experience. I could care less if I never go to another game there.

Yea college games are cool probably for that reason.. NO BEER at the games. I've heard from other ppl that FedEx sucks for a game experience.

sadly your experience with the swamp sounds like my experience at a ravens game this year. woke up, walked to a breakfast joint, ate some eggs and sausage, walked down to fed hill had some drinks, walked over to pickles had lots of drinks, walked to stadium, great views and fans were very polite. i has in line to take a piss and a bills fan said he couldnt believe how nice raven fans were and that he expected to be killed tailgating but didnt have one bad incident.

the same cant be said for fed ex, but im sure a ravens steelers game is a diff story than ravens bills.

Funny you say that I took my BIL to his first NFL game few years back and he was shocked. He has been to many Penn State (alum) and he said it was night and day compared the two.

Ditto, if I decide to go once a year I'll spend to sit in the Club level and avoid all the nonsense.

Well if you are at FedEx the amount of Redskins fans to opposing team fans ratio lends this to be true. If you are drunk and want to fight most likely the closet folks to you are skins fans.

It is the same at all stadiums.

If you want a fun filled family sporting outing in this country anymore take your family to a minor league baseball game. I go to about 10 a year everyone in the family has a great time. Never see a fight, rarely hear a swear, always something fun going on between innings and the price plus everything that goes a long with it for 10 games cost half of going to one NFL game.

Yea, if you want to take a nap for 3 1/2 hours. Is that even considered a sport? Golf is more exciting.

Something fun between innings is watching paint dry.

The only thing cheaper to see a minor leagues baseball game is the ticket. After that beers are $8 hot dog $5 and so on.

Not in my neck of the woods.

I enjoy baseball. Games are like 3 hours tops BTW.

I just hate baseball. They could give me free behind home plate tickets to Wrigley Field, free food/beer and the VIP treatment and I would still think it sucked. Oh, they did give me those and it SUCKED. LOL

Amen to this!

If you really want to go to an NFL game and see it in some degree of comfort without the intrusion of drunken bozos, save up your money and buy yourself a seat or two in the club section(s) where there are plenty of amenities, cover from the elements and access to hi-def TVs for inspection of replays.

If you want to see an NFL game live "on a budget", you will have to put up with whomever happens to sit within 15 yards of you and with however much booze he/she consumed in the four-hour tailgating party prior to kickoff.

I did that too many times. Now I prefer fewer games in the "box seats"...
