i am in the same boat too, i don't think grossman starting(which is a joke) is the real issue. the real isssue is the horrific way all the teams issues have been dealt with. shanahan comes off more and more like a egotistical maniac with every move that he makes. i hope he pans out but this is very reminiscent of gibbs coming back and being out of touch with the game. i know shanahan was only out one year but after elway retired he never won another playoff game in one of the weakest divisions in the nfl, and was barely an above average coach.

Good observations, things do seem really chaotic, but to try & be positive; it may take more chaos to right this ship (though Shan has to take blame for the trade). I think it's more of Shanahan still getting a grip on this organization & town, not the nfl itself.

This team hasn't had a disciplinarian like Shan since Marty in 01. The coaches since then were more players coaches/nice guys. DS opted not to hire GW who is an outspoken disciplinarian. So he may be an egomaniac, or it may seem so because this team has lacked that kind of authority figure for so long.
