These days if you're lucky you get a second round QB thats on par with Chad Henne. Basically the best QB's come from either the first round or random spots late in the draft and you don't bank on those guys because if you're dense enough to do that you end up with Troy Smith as your franchise QB At the very least scouts are good at identifying the best QB prospects year in and year out which is usually why they're all gone by the time the second round rolls around. If we're going to draft a real QB of the future we're going to do it right and take one in the first round.

While I'm not 100% sold on Colt, I'm about 99.9%
He finished with a 132 QB rating today. He's performing really well under the circumstances. He's only going to get better once he's complimented with some playmakers. Hillis and Cribbs is a very good start though.

my basic point is that id rather draft a different position in the first round and get a guy to develop behind whoever our starter is, whether it be in the second round or later. im really not sold on anyone but luck as an elite qb this year, and hes only a redshirt sophomore this year.
