Yep, go early, stay late, eat and drink during the tailgate, have fun, and don't be in a hurry. Take your time.

I went to 2 games this year. At the Packers game, we had the AAA Fan Tailgate passes, so we didn't tailgate and then hung out in the club level after the game for 2 hours until the traffic died down. At the Vikings game, we tailgated before and after. We left the parking lot around 5:45pm and it took us 5 minutes to get out onto Landover Road and over to the BW Parkway and up to the Beltway and about an hour to get back to Germantown to pick up the kids, which is normally a 30-45 minute ride.

Hey you guys have fun. This is good advise. If you get to the stadium 2 hours or sooner before the game then you will not have trafic issues. If you tailgate a couple hours after the game then the trafic leaving is no big deal.

I'm definitely up for staying and doing some more tailgating after the game. It's not like I have to head home after the game anyways.
