The last two guys you brought up are ok...Gallery a free agent? I thought he was under contract?

I would at some point people thought high of him, and he's gotten better

What about OJ Atogwe? He'll be available most likely, though he's apparently said he might be willing to take less to stay in St. Louis

Overrated. The guy is just mediocre now, it's unfortunate.. but we'll pass.

Gallery definitely is not a prototypical Shanahan O-lineman.

As long as Gallery is agile, they WILL consider him. His size and power are also quite handy in the NFC East. The lack of size is not what Shanahan cares about, it's quickness and agility, which lighter linemen usually have. But if he could find a BIG lineman with the same agility and quickness, he's going to pounce just like he did with Clady.

I think Gallery is an upgrade over anyone we currently have - even if he is simply an average to above average player.

Leinart is trash and if we sign him I will be very disappointed in Shanny..

Another thing in regards to the QBs is what vets may be on the chopping block? I was really hoping for Marvin Lewis to leave and a major shake up in the organization. I was hoping the shaking up might include Carson Palmer...damn Hasselbeck looked pretty gud last week. I just think he is too old at this point

I definitely will be upset if we don't get a new center!

We need guards not centers. Will Montgomery and Lichtensteiger have no business starting at guard even though they are ok depth at guard. They are centers.

I wouldn't go so far as to say we DON'T NEED a center. We do, we just need guards worse IMO based on the personnel we already have.

I never said in absolute terms that we don't need one at all. However, if we're getting another one, the C will probably be similar to Lichtensteiger skillset-wise.

I swear when I first read that it said skillet-wise. I couldn't help thinking to myself, is he doubling as team chef??
