When you first start a franchise you can turn off the cap. Not sure if you can do it during a franchise, I'll check.

Oh I already checked that, you can turn it off at the start but you can't turn it off once you're in. It's making me regret turning it on lol, and idw to have to restart my franchise just so I won't have to deal with all the stupid cap penalties.

EDIT: nevermind. I found a way to do it. I kept lookin at various madden sites online until I found one that said all I have to do is go into a game with a roster hole, set the fill roster option to cpu and it would ask me before the game if I wanted to clear cap penalties in order to sign somebody from free agency to fill the hole on my roster. Did that and now I have a cool 75ish mil in cap space.
