I was talking about the post. The article is titled and The Hits Just Keep Coming, but really it's just a wrap up of the same story told multiple ways. To compare/contrast; the SB started with a whimper due to the snow. If a week later they rehashed all the stories about the snow, you would not title it the snow keeps coming - no, the snow came and reporters found various ways to report on the same story. That is what happened with the Snyder story.

In contrast; the SB started with Snow, then Seatgate, then the (minor) roof leak, and the filing of the lawsuit by Cowboys season ticket holders. There, the hits (or different negative situations) just kept coming. So, the title may have been appropriate in that context.

In DS' context, the only way you could say the hits keep coming is if you are referring to negative articles about the same situation, and in that case the post is as i said, in a position to keep the hits coming simply by repeating and rehashing the same information over and over.

You want to make it a wrap up article then say Reviewing Snyder's gaffe, or what the press says, or whatever. That's fine. My point is simply that there wasnt a new "hit" or negative situation w/regards to DS in that "article"

An excerpt from Jeffrey Goldberg's article in The Atlantic; I think he's calling us punks. At any rate, something to think about next time you throw Dan Snyder your hard-earned money.

All of this is a shame. Redskins fans deserve better but don't do anything about it. I hope Washington grows up and realizes that it shouldn't tolerate obnoxious behavior. Unfortunately Washingtonians are scared and passive when it comes to joining together in protest or fighting The Man, even if he's stupid, greedy and ridiculous.

Pray for them.

The recurring theme; he can't win in court & this is doing more to damage his rep than help it. I'd say that's on par w/the reaction here.
I think him doing those radio bits were a horrible idea as well. Not only did he get up there and flat out lie about the situation, but he had his scapegoat (Wyllie) named just in case shit hit the fan. Guess what. It did. This is another case were I believe Dan Snyder is doing what Dan Snyder wants, and not listening to what the advice he's been given. I highly doubt this PR guy is behind this shit, much like I don't believe many of those FA signings were Vinnys. He has to have a fall guy.

If people don't understand how Snyder works, then review some of his history. He's made a fortune by buying other acquisitions and reselling (among illegal practices) them for a profit.

Aside from the gear that I already own. I do not support Dan Snyder anymore(in terms of tickets/food/etc). I'll cheer on my Skins each and every week from the view of a TV which is usually at a bar (or free online). Most people will continue to support him much like this guy says. It's the same with anything really (even our politics). Nobody wants to be the guy to make a stand. Some hilarious things I hear regularly is how people continue to purchase season tickets ONLY because it's been in the family for X amount of years, or I've spent too much money to give up now!!

The Redskins are up there in the Fan Cost Index (FCI) rankings, but display a shitty product. If anything, he needs to be reducing prices. At some point, you need to say. Listen, enough is enough.

The illegal practices of slamming (one of the main focuses of this lawsuit). His company (and verizon) was fined in 2001 for the tune of 3.1 million along with this. This doesn't even included the acts that went on in California.

Under the Snyder/Verizon agreement, Snyder Direct Services, the division of Snyder Communications which marketed GTE’s long-distance in Florida, will shut down and forever cease all operations in Florida. Snyder Communications has in turn agreed to suspend all in-person solicitations of long-distance customers for 10 years.

His lawyer is claiming they didn't own the company then, which is false. They owned the company when the investigation was going on and the fines were handed out for crimes (forging names) during the period he owned the company. They just sold the company before the judgment was handed down. That ploy where "oh, i'm the owner, i had no idea what went on" doesn't fly unfortunately. As a CEO, you are indeed responsible for the actions of your corporation.

Just so you have a idea on what really went on.

Generally, for every 10 people slammed, only one will actually call the PSC to complain, he said. With Verizon, the Office of Public Counsel estimated that more than 3,000 people were probably slammed.

Dude has done some extensive search into the background of the SNC companies and has legal documents to prove it.

Just two months ago I received an unauthorized bill from Verizon connecting an additional charge from a company called USBI in the amount of $16.32 to my monthly bill. I contacted Verizon and informed them of the fact I had made no subscription to USBI, didn't know their function or what service they had provided. Verizon's representative advised me to contact USBI which I did.

After finally being able to speak with an agent of the company and informed him of my situation, I was told that someone [whom they apparently thought was me] had, using my phone and computer, submitted an online subscription form requesting one of the services they provided and billed me for. I knew then I was being slammed and immediately began to check around the internet only to find many other people who were victims of the same scam.

I informed both the representative from USBI and Verizon that I had no intention of paying for any additional service of which I didn't subscribe too. I was assured by the rogue company that I would receive a credit and be relieved of any further obligation. I refused to pay Verizon the $16.32 and my next months' bill was adjusted minus the additional charges.

Jason Reid - With his lawsuit against Washington City Paper, Daniel Snyder continues to put the Redskins in a negative light

The view from a legal perspective.

Re: Snyder Camp Upset!!

When Snyder croaks I wonder if the estate taxes will be so high that his widow/family will be forced to sell the team? I wonder if we can imitate the Egyptians and revolt to force him out? Can Snyder be tricked into selling the team? Will inception be possible ten years from now?

Sigh.

Remember, tax laws can change overnight...

1. I am not a tax attorney or CPA but by my understanding of estate taxes, there will be ZERO estate tax due if Snyder dies first and leaves the team - - and anything else - - to his spouse. There is no limit on what someone can leave to a spouse tax-free. When the spouse dies, however, that is a different story...

2. The uprising in Egypt was successful because the Egyptian Army backed the protesters and not the incumbent government. That is not likely to happen even if there were a massive protest against incumbent Redskins' ownership.

3. Could Snyder be tricked into selling the team? Interesting concept here but it would take someone who is pretty stupid and gullible to fall for a con that would end up that way. I may not have the world's highest opinion of Danny Boy as a person to guide an NFL franchise, but I cannot bring myself to think he is that stupid or gullible.

4. Inception will be science fiction for quite a while...

1)That was not my understanding , as always depends on where you live and how much it's worth.

3)Alot of Snyders wealth is paper.(not cash assets),if he buys ....lets say an Amusment Park and does it with a stock leverage ....basicly mortgages the Skins to buy something else and that fails....yes he could be made to sell the Skins(or at least his share) but that is alot of maybes.

Actually he could.... all they have to do is hand him their vacation form with the sale of the team paper work right below the vacation form and make sure DS presses hard enough for it to go through. lol.

Virginia Department of Taxation

Quote:
Legislation enacted by the 2006 General Assembly, House Bill 5018, repeals the Virginia estate tax for the estates of decedents whose date of death occurs on or after July 1, 2007. The estates of decedents whose date of death occurs before July 1, 2007 remain subject to the estate tax provisions. In addition, the repeal of the Virginia estate tax does not affect the filing requirements for fiduciary income tax, regardless of when the date of death occurs.
Basically, Dan Snyder (and many other rich assholes) get to avoid taxes now because the law was repealed back in 2007. Had this been done prior to JKC's death, the team would have been in his son's hand. I'm surprised it took this long for the good ole boys in the "rich club" to get their buddies in state legislation to repeal this.

Short version: We are ****ed as SKins fans.
