More on Bush:
Bush, Saints expected to part ways - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

Quote:
Running back Reggie Bush’s(notes) days with the New Orleans Saints all but came to an end Thursday night when the team selected running back Mark Ingram with the 28th overall pick in the first round of the NFL draft.

“It’s been fun New Orleans,” Bush posted on his Twitter page Thursday night.

Bush was not expected to return to the Saints next season regardless of what the team did because he has so far declined to take a pay cut when the subject was broached before the NFL lockout began. Bush is due approximately $11.8 million in the 2011 season in base salary and bonuses.

Guess I was a year early on the Bush rumors

I think it's less likely he comes here though, compared to last year.

If we take a RB in the 2nd round it'll be Williams or LeShoure...but I don't think we will and look for Damien Berry as a 5th round option

Of course by Berry, I meant Helu and Royster

Wish FA would start already. I'm getting as curious about everyone else now about this whole Vince Young talk

One Fletcher like Free Agent I haven't heard of linked to the Redskins is Barrett Rudd. What's the deal with him? Is Tampa planning to resign, to expensive, or doesn't fit the 3-4? I really believe that even though he'll cost a good amount it will still give you that star linebacker for years to come.

I'll be interested in seeing if the lack of repetition with the scheme is trumped by rested legs. I know Bush claims he was joking and all that but maybe his 'jokes' have a point. On the other hand more rest and less practice means more people flying around at full speed not knowing what they're doing.

Re: Free Agency/Franchise Tag thread 2011

After seeing what we got in the draft I am hoping that we target:

Paul Posluzny LB or Barrett Rudd LB
Brandon Mebane NT or Aubrayo Franklin NT or Alan Branch NT
Cullen Jenkins DE
Nnamdi Asomugha CB or Johnathan Joseph CB or Antonio Cromartie CB

Tyson Clabo RG and Robert Gallery LG Shift Corey to Center. Resign Jamal Brown.

I think that Ruud might be a good pickup as an ILB.

I agree that we should resign Jammal Brown. He should be healthier and more familiar with the system this year. I think we should also resign Rex Grossman, Santana Moss, and Carlos Rogers.

I think we'll probably pass on DL FA's and play the young players we have at those positions.

As for DB's, I hope we don't spend a fortune on a CB (or any other player) in FA. I think I could stand it if we resign "Hands of Stone" to play CB. I certainly agree that we need to sign a CB in FA.

To be honest, I haven't a clue as to what to do about the interior OL in Free Agency. It would be nice to get Tyson Clabo or Davin Joseph but I doubt that's going to be possible.

There are a couple of other FA's I'd like to see the Skins go after. First, FB Vonta Leach (Houston). He is a top-notch blocker who already knows our offensive system. I'd give him a multi-year deal.

Second, if we go after a DL, then I'd like the Skins to consider Chris Hoke (Pitt). Chris already knows our defensive system. He could play either NT or DE. I'd offer him a one year deal while our younger DL players develop.

Good list! But unfortunately, I doubt we will be able to get most of those players though.. I am not sure about those two LBs, if I recall right, I have read some articles that claimed their teams really want to resign them.. I don't believe we will go after Jenkins, only because we drafted a younger Jenkins.

As for CB, I would prefer to resign Rogers only because he knows our defense. Although, I would not oppose to the idea of signing Joseph.. Or even Nnamdi (I doubt he wants to sign with a team that is not considered as a contender team).

Edit: Seems like I was wrong about Jenkins.. Turns out that Jenkins is high on Redskins' list.
