New Orleans - always injured RBs
Indy - Releasing Addai, retaining only Donald Brown and Mike Hart, both injury-prone
New England - always a RRBC in need of another
Green Bay - they had no running game at the end of the year. Turned out they didn't need one, but should be addressed.
Baltimore - Parting ways with McGahee, so that leaves only Rice and McClain, who is more of a FB who can carry if needed
Tampa Bay - a lot of subpar pieces. Is LaGarrett Blount reliable? Is Cadillac Williams still alive?

Hopefully he'll return here for less money and a reduced role, but still as an important contributor.
Good list. All of those teams need a starting runningback, with help by a backup. I see where Portis would fit nice as a guy who could spell carries with someone else, maybe getting 5-10 carries a game as a 3rd down back or something similar, but i doubt highly that any of those teams will bring him in as a "Starter", and pay him "starter money".

Someone else on here said the most likely scenario is that he does a Brian Westbrook type deal, like around 1 million for 1 year, with incentives, so they can just test the waters with CP so to speak. IF/When he gets hurt, they wont be on the hook for huge money.

His age and the kind of money he in all likelihood is seeking might be a hinderence for him to sign on with a contender team.
