Re: Any news on Gardner?
Like I said long ago... a 7th and a six pack. Or just 3 6-packs.

Re: Any news on Gardner?
Hahahaha... maybe some Country Club, King Cobra or PBR?
Dude, I'm NOT talking about the expensive stuff. You think we could get some Guiness or Labatt for Gardner? Come on, we have to be real here. LOL

Re: Any news on Gardner?
C'mon guys, give Rod a little credit...he's more like 60/40. lol Atleast he was a big enough target that even Brunell could find him in the endzone.

Re: Any news on Gardner?
We Redskin fans tend to have a negative view towards Gardner, but actually he is a decent, but average NFL WR. Yes his drops have been frustrating as hell, but his stats are really no worse than the majority of #2 receivers in the league. That is why he has trade value, and why it is mid-round value, not top, and not bottom....i.e. average.

Re: Any news on Gardner?
Portis stated that Moss will be a no show if does not receive a long term contract. From his stats I don't think he is much of an upgrade from gardner. Can we trade Moss and gardner together and pick a WR in the first round or for WR from another team. I don't like Mosses attitude for a marginal WR. Just a thought.

Re: Any news on Gardner?
Nope, not yet....but what team would want not one, but two new WR's that haven't reached their potential, but want new contracts that will pay them as if they have? That's the problem with that scenario...

Re: Any news on Gardner?
Maybe Gardner will be packaged with the 9th and 25th to Miami so we can take Edwards.
Maybe we will package Moss (low cap figure and pouting...) it's not beyond the realms of possibility. I am virtually certain that Gardner will be dealt this weekend or in the imediate aftermath of the draft. |

Re: Any news on Gardner?
just saw this about Gardner on the newest clayton top 10 things to watch for...
"6. Trades: A lot of big names are available in trades. The Cardinals are talking to the Bills about halfback Travis Henry. The Seahawks still have long-shot hopes of moving halfback Shaun Alexander. The Raiders can't find a trade partner for cornerback Charles Woodson, but they will keep trying. The Chargers are targeting a veteran defensive end. The Redskins are about to pull wide receiver Rod Gardner off the market and keep him as their third receiver. Guys who aren't on the market are Colts halfback Edgerrin James and Jets defensive end John Abraham." I don't know why but I'm getting this feeling Miami is gonna select Edwards and then trade their new 2nd rounder to seatle for Alexander. |

Re: Any news on Gardner?
I still think that Gardner has the ability to be a #1 WR or atleast a good #2. I feel he needs a good WR coach to work on his focus and rout running. I have seen him make some impossible grabs then turn around and drop three easy catches. It's all in his focus and if a coach could get him to rededicate himself he could be that receiver we all hoped he would be. I like Gardner as a team player its just a shame he did not give us what we expected. I think we will find out this year if a fresh start with a new team is what he need to emerge as that player.

Re: Any news on Gardner?
I think I read somewhere we could trade him to seattle for Koren Robinson. But don't quote me
As for his ability, Gardner is very good but like Ramsey has loss confidence because of being bumped down in the depth chart
