Also, if you read the original article you'll see that "force" is a strong word and it's part of a bigger story about sports teams/leagues taking more ownership of their brand in the media

Timing might be interesting indeed.
I wonder if these exclusivity name branding deals $ are part of the elusive unreported NFL revenue that fails to make it into the overall NFL revenues in the CBA deal? The one that the players are trying to get disclosed and included in the CBA deal. |

even with a f-ing lockout snyder has to get his name out there somehow. i'm starting to beleive that he thrives off of negitive publicity.
