The point I was trying to make is that Russell Okung was the better collegiate football player, the fact that Trent climbed the draft rankings towards the end of the draft season is more because people started to realize this whole "Mike Shanahan wants speed and will take Trent Williams". Not because people thought he would be the better left tackle.. Also worth noting, Trent played right tackle until he became a senior. So again, a lot of question marks about this player.
Clearly it's the wrong place to be discussing this argument and rightfully so.. I'll leave it at that.

Okung definitely had the more polished college career. But Shanahan wasn't alone in his assessment that TW
may in the long run have more upside. But in the end I think we're splitting hairs, I think both players have the potential to have long successful careers.
TW definitely had some question marks coming in, but he answered a lot them last year.
