he successfully managed a game against a significantly better nebraska team that had walked through them earlier in the season. he also has something that cannot be coached, toughness. he wants to win as much as anyone, and is definitely motivated to succeed.

My rankings for these quarterbacks are:
1. Newton
2. Gabbert
3. Locker
4. Mallett
5. Dalton
6. Ponder
7. Kaperneck
8. Stanzi

and there is really so little seperating most of these players, nobody can really tell who will end up the best.

I don't see it like that. For me it's more along the lines of

High Floor High Ceiling
........okay no one.

Medium Floor, Medium to High Ceiling
Blaine Gabbert
Andy Dalton
Christian Ponder

Low Floor, High Ceiling
Kaepernick

Low Floor, Ridiculously High Ceiling
Cam Newton
Jake Locker
Ryan Mallet

I agree with this and it's why I keep coming back to Locker. I want a shot at someone who can be great not just good. And in spite of all his troubles...I would take a shot at Mallet also becasue he has franchise QB talent...just not at #10.
