The Panthers are trying to take the 15% chance rope out of the NFC cellar and ignoring the 85% probability that Marty Hurney is gone in two years anyway as well as the 100% chance that he should have already been fired after the Delhomme extension.

How about Buffalo's defensive line? Even Aaron Maybin might be able to get a sack playing with Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus.
I'll admit: not nearly as scary as Suh, Fairley, and Vanden Bosch. But no one is talking about the Bills as a team that could have 5 wins by Halloween. And thats...an oversight.

The call against Suh vs Cutler wasn't as bad is it's made out to be. Suh pushed him down from behind. It just looked worse because Suh is a bad mutha fu....

Slingin Sammy - While I agree the Falcons paid WAY to much to move up and get Jones and Ponder was a big reach for the Vikings, the Vikes could have moved down a little and picked up more picks and still have gotten Ponder. However these are two talented teams that really ARE one or two players away from the promise-land.
Ponder played in the same west coast offensive system in college that the Vikings use. Ponder fits that system perfectly, there is a small learning curve compared to the other QB's in this draft. Plus the Viking are loaded with talent on both sides of the ball and that will help get Ponder on the field sooner than most. If Ponder's play on the field pans out it will be seen as a big win. The Falcons are stupid to give up that much. But if Jones explodes onto the scene next year and the Falcons go deep into the playoff it might be seen as a win as well. TIME WILL TELL! |
