Yeah he's washed up. Better for the league as a whole if he retires. That way the quality of competition across the league will remain high and he won't take a job away from an aspiring young QB.

There has been much debate [of late] as to whether McNabb should be considered in the top 100 QB's. The centerpiece of the debate centers around comparing his overall body of work with his play the last two years.

There was not a huge market offering overwhelming compensation to the Eagles for McNabb when they made the decision to trade him to the Redskins. Now, as the results of his one year here in Washington demonstrate, his value as an effective NFL QB has become muddled.
