Exactly.

I think there's this misconception that Beathard was 100% in charge of personnel, that's just not true. Gibbs has always had a say in personnel decisions.

Just add to that, I don't think Beathard had anything to do with developing the QBs after they were drafted. That was all Gibbs and the coaching staff. So if we trusted Gibbs to develop a guy like Mark Rypien to give us at least one season of glory then why not Campbell

but don't get me wrong, I get the argument that for what we gave up Campbell better give us more than one great season

Good point, I don't think it was Beathard that was coaching the QBs
