SS33, I am willing to give you a chance to buy back your bet at $50 right now. Let me know if you're interested in salvaging half of the money you've thrown away.
I'm in on the bet for the long haul. If Perry gets the nomination is the bet on or is it just for Romney only?

It was for Romney only but if you want to hedge your bet on Perry too I'm down.

Let's do that. Bet covers either Romney or Perry as the GOP nominee.

EDIT: In the interest of fairness, if you want to hedge on Hillary getting the nomination I'll still keep the bet. LOL.

If unemployment hits 10%, Perry still couldn't beat Obama.

I would not be to sure about that. Obama is loosing independants at a high rate and his base is not very pumped to support him.

I'm sure there are plenty of Republicans who look at Rick Perry and say to themselves.

Never go full retard.

That man couldn't be further from the center if he tried.

More style than substance. I think he's a very smart and capable pol, but his appeal is he's a little brash and a straight shooter. I'll be interested to hear what are his policy positions on a range of issues.

He has his work cut out for him big time. The longer he drags it out, the longer it takes to put a campaign infrastructure together.

How utterly absurd and pathetic. Mormons and Muslims deserve no First Amendment protections? The ignorance of this fellow is overwhelming. It baffles me that the candidates have to try and cater to these "Values Voters" people.

Unbelievable. I mean really. What a collossal cluster fornication these knuckledraggers are. The Family Research Council, the American Family Association, the Christian Coalition -- all of them make the sane voters of this country do one giant facepalm.

If the GOP as a whole could just lose these nutbags, and concentrate their platform on economic and personal freedom, they would be amazed at how many elections they would win.

Re: Meet The Candidates: 2012 GOP Thread

Christie has been saying no since May, so it would have been more of surprise had he decided to run.

It's funny that candidates give all kinds of reasons for not running except for I don't think I can win.

As a politician now would be a great time to run for office. Obama is probably done and I'm not but so impressed with everyone else running.
