How Bad Do You Hate The Cowboys?

Even this thread brings me pain sad story coming up....

My sons first birthday, we are having a party at my father in laws house. Skins vs. Cowboys. Afternoon game, Norv was the coach. Bad enough I was more interested in the game than my boys first birthday. Game goes to overtime, long bomb to Rocket Ishmale. We Lose. I cannot control my rage and throw the remote into the 50 inch projection T.V. that belongs to my father in law. Had to replace it the next week. Sad day.

My hate started in the seventy's when Dallas came back (Stauback and Co.) on us when we were up by 13 and scored twice in the last two minutes of the game to hand us a loss. I remember I was 8 or 9. I ran to my room and cried all night.

My hate for Dallas could light the city of Las Vegas for a month.

Man, I was going to relate a story from this game, but that takes the cake.

Well, here's my story anyway... I was recording the game and after the aforementiond TD, I picked the tape out of the VCR and threw it against the wall and Ismail and his blue and silver buddies were smashed into a thousand pieces.

When you are at FedEx field Cowboys fans are more obnoxious, but Eagles fans are more violent...

That was the loss that hurt and made me a Cowboy hater for life.

Dallas has been more of a thorn in our side than Philly. We've sucked during Philly's recent run. Philly is supposed to beat us during these last 4-5 years. Dallas has been as bad as us, except for 2003, but we still lose to them. To this day I will say that Dallas cost us an undefeated season in 1991 (They won 1 game that year! Against us, the SB Champs!).

Most of our meaningful games against Philly took place in the 80's and early 90's and we usually won the important ones. Dallas and NY (so glad to when Phil Simms retired, he was a "Redskin-killer") were royal pains in butt during those years.

that is frickin hilarious!! I'm 43 and i've hated the cowboys for a long time,especiaaly after that game in 79,that cost us the playoffs,not too mant people remember this but for us to miss the playoffs we had to lose to the cowboys and the cardinals had to lose to the team they were playing by more than 32 points ,or something like that,well they started this rookie qb that i dont think ever played another game and they lost like 42-3 and knocked us out,we should hate the cardinals too !!!

When the cowboys play the eagles i root for the cowboys, albeit uncomfortably. No matter what happens, the eagles will always be my least favorite franchise in sports.

Htownskinsfan, I remember that you are right. I remember the Falcons had Dallas in the playoffs next. I never rooted so hard for the Falcons in my life.

Yeah, I live in Virginia and there's alot more Eagles fans here than Cowboys fans. I definitely hear more trash from Eagles fans (especially the last 5 years), but I still hate the Cowboys more, even though its getting close.

If we're going by which team I hate the most, its definately Dallas. I too feel that a 2-14 season w/ 2 wins against Dallas would be a success in my book.

As for the most annoying fans. It can be anybody's fans, really. The ones that bug me the most are the ones who show up at the end of the season talking smack about how their teams are going to the playoffs; you know fairweather fans. They irritate the crap out of me because they try to shove down my throat that because 'their' is more successful than mine, that they hold something above my head. I usually come back with this: name 5 starters on 'your' team. That usually shuts them up.

It was really annoying this past season as two supervisors directly above me all of a sudden claimed to be Steelers fans. I knew they both were from PA, but neither had shown any allegiance to the Steelers in the past. Just kinda ticks me off. Now there is another guy that I work with that is a Steelers fan and he's been with them through thick and thin - which I respect.

The Cowboy hatred was embedded in me from day one by my grandfather. It was a Redskinns Cowboys game in the early eighties on Thanksgiving. We were at my granpa's in Oxen Hill. We had some relatives from Texas who were Cowboys fans. The Cowboys ended up winning that game and my relatives from Texas were thrown out of the house by my grandfather (NO EXAGERATION)!

During the season I would not mind rounding that part of my family and sending them to the desert of Iraq. Hopefully they wouldnt come back. That is how much I hate the Cowboys. (Figure of Speech) I do not realy wish any harm on my relatives, with the excecption of decades of Cowboy losses!

Cowboy fans suck too. Talk about the biggest bunch of bandwagonners. Most cowboy 'fans' can't even tell you which number Charlie Waters wore or who thier 1st coach was. The greatest cowboy moment was when we were stomping the living crap out of them in the '82 championship game and Landry slammed his famous fedora to the turf! That was awesome! I hate the Cowboys.
