Hall
Wilson
Barnes

I'd say thats a pretty solid group of DB's, let Westbrook and the new BSU guy Thompson battle it out for the 4th spot.

I wonder if they'll bring back Buchannon.

Just seems like he would be too expensive now considering he would be the 4th DB. Barnes can't drop any lower than #3, gotta give him a shot to see what he has. (I personally think he is going to be really good, I'd like to have Barnes start).

Makes sense. Yeah I really like Barnes too, I hope he has a breakout year.

JOSH Wilson is a solid free agent pick up at CB. I say Rogers is gone now for sure after this signing. I think we will sign another free agent CB when NFL teams make more cuts Friday to get under the salary cap.

Since we have a young CB group I wouldn't be opposed to having a vet like Nate Clements.

Re: Redskins Sign DB Josh Wilson

this is a downgrade from rogers. maybe he still has upside, but we've got two #2 CBs right now, so i'm a bit surprised we spent decent money on him when marshall, JJ and cromartie are still out there. maybe JJ was getting to many offers and we just needed to make sure we had a body, but I'd like to see what rogers is going to get, cause i doubt it's a whole lot more.

Josh Wilson allowed 46.9% of passes into his coverage to be complete in 2010

Rogers?..... 69.4%

and wilson had a good DL while we had trash, its not apples to apples. I never said he was bad, but people seem to think rogers is completely worthless the way they talk about him here.

Let's put it this way: if Wilson allows fewer than 55% of passes to be completed against him in Haslett's scheme, this was the best signing of the offseason. The baselines between Mattison's defense and Haslett's could not be more different.

Hall ended up with something of an NFL record for completions per target last season. But it certainly wasn't the worse season of his career or anything.

I am surprised no one is talking about Marshall

the biggest thing is he's not a high priority for the panthers, which means we could get a quality player cheaply due to the lack of bids... we'll have to see how the contracts work, but him or rogers are the most likely to give great price/performance.

meanwhile i'd like to see jenkins and at least an OG today to shore that up so we can at least have bodies penciled in at every spot. after that, 2nd OL, ILB (tulloch still available?), and looking for a value CB wouldn't hurt. still up on edwards or plax as a "big" WR too, but that's more of a nice touch then necessary.

Not a big fan of this move. Wilson is an average corner so it seems that they over paid a bit. He's coming over from Balt. and every knows that the Ravens had a weak secondary.
