I like Torain and all but if he can't stay healthy there won't be a spot for him on the roster.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread

Boy in between MP having a seizure and Maclin possibly having lymphoma, it's not a good day to be at Eagles camp today. I hope Maclin is alright, not sure what would happen with him if he is diagnosed but hopefully he can beat it and come back to keep playing football.

As for Mike Patterson, a 4 minute seizure? I can only imagine the hell that must've been for him and the players around him. My longest has only been about a minute and for that minute you tend to feel paralyzed since you can't control whatever body parts are involved in the seizure. 4 minutes is an amazingly long time to go through that, and to hear that he's up and alert and joking around is a good sign.

Speed back starting in 8 games against 3-4 defenses. Not on my watch. Then again Chris Johnson runs well against anyone. Good thing theres such a back to compare Helu to.

Have you ever played in a 3-4 defense man? SCP is dead on. Better way to think of a 3-4 is more like that of a 5-2.

Everyone gets hurt in camp. These same injuries take place during the regular season. Only difference is a bunch of fans aren't around to witness it.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread

I don't think it matters who the starter is, we all know MS is gonna rotate these guys in and out, but I love that this guy is going hard as a 4th round pick.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread

A good recap from today's practice by Rich Campbell....

http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/...d-analysis-83/

I found this interesting...

"Let’s make it a receivers hat trick: Malcolm Kelly worked as the third receiver during situational drills late in practice. Anthony Armstrong and Jabar Gaffney were the top two.

Kelly has run well so far, and he appears polished and confident compared to the rookie receivers. That said, this effectively is his first year in the offense because he missed all of last year. He attended meetings all last season, but this is his first extended opportunity to practice running plays. The fact he doesn’t play special teams is a disadvantage in his attempt to make the roster, so standing out in the passing game during the preseason is an absolute must."
