Redskins 2011 Salary Cap Status

Stephen Bowen update: estimated cap number = $4 million

There is roughly $17 million remaining under the salary cap for 2011. We have matched the cash requirement for the 2011 Collective Bargaining Agreement with the NFLPA.

It's $37 million in deadcap for the following cuts:

Kemoeatu
Portis
Moss (voided deal prior to resigning)
Carter
Haynesworth
McNabb
Dockery
Rabach

Moss is actually counting $8.5 million on our cap, which is $5.5 million for the remenants of his old deal, and $3 million for his current deal.

But all that means is our salary cap is $87 million instead of $123.7 million. And the only big contract we have on the books is Fletcher at $7 million. So that's why we have so much deadcap and can still be signing.
