I said last election not last presidental election. He tried his hardest to get out the vote and it did not work. I actually think the next election will come down to which party the American people are pissed at the least. Right now if I could I'd vote them all out of office. I agree with the sentiments that both parties are to blame, really they both suck imo.

but i believe that while there are more registered democrats than republicans, republicans tend to turn out and vote any chance they get while a significant portion of democrat voters only turn out for the big presendential elections (hard to get college kids, 20 somethings to bother to vote). i know i do. so i personally dont put much stock in what off year elections results show as a prediction for the voter turnout for presendential elections.
