Boom: Wow. AdamSchefter: Arizona is trading RB Tim Hightower to Washington for a conditional late-round, along with DE Vonnie Holliday.

Really? So we're trading away a big guy for "competition" at another skill position? Where the heck is the competition in the trenches?

Are you referring to O-line (Chester) or D-line (Bowen and Cofield)?

Yes. It's not that I don't like the guys they signed up front, but why are they using this overkill, "we love competition COMPETITION 4 EVAR HAHAHAHAA NO REPS 4 U" strategy with the skill guys and not the trenches.

Granted part of me hates the overkill strategy seeing as it leads to great decisions like giving Galloway playing time over Austin but damn give me at least two more guys. IIRC our tackle depth going into today was Williams, Fulton, and Oldenberg. I feel a little better now with Brown resigned but man.

I think part of it though might be the coaches viewing the receivers as some sort of space invaders shoot em up type position while the offensive line is like a delicate eco system.

I agree we should sign a few more guys on the lines, and we probably will, but when looking at Cofield, Bowen, and Chester- there's a good chance all 3 of them are week 1 starters. Bringing in 3 new starters isnt exactly neglecting trench warfare.

Agreed. I just wish the FO would humor me with a couple extra bodies up front on the off chance of signing a diamond in the rough. At this rate though with the skilled players I'm expecting to read a tweet like this.

@RichCampbell - Skins have now signed every available Free Agent Running Back and Receiver eligible for Free Agency.

@RichCampbell - Skins have signed Ukranian Receiver Mikel Udarich and Antartic Running back Samoe Taleio.

@RichCampbell - Skins visit local high schools claiming to be looking for Receivers and Running Backs.

@RichCampbell - Skins go to Pee Wee championship in Disney to scout RB's and Wideouts. 11 year old Mike Waters looked promising, Shanahan said he had the type of vision thats ideal for his system.

@RichCampbell - Skins go to local hospitals baby ward throwing things at babies to see who can catch. Say competition helps everyone.

@RichCampbell - Skins visit local sperm bank, hope to bread receivers and running backs.

@RichCampell - Skins visit paleontology department at Oxford. Claim to be looking for past organisms in the evolutionary cycle that could be bread as receivers and running backs

@RichCampbell - Skins build space ship for recruiting trips to other worlds looking for receivers and running backs.

@RichCampbell - Skins study string theory. Hope to recruit receivers and running backs from parallel universes.

Are they starters out of need or starters because that is their quality of play? In Cofield's case, he's a no-doubt starter to me in any scheme: I just hope he finds a spot in the 30 front to justify that contract.

Bowen and Chester are more "either way" kind of players. I know they are unquestioned starters on this team. I hope they play like guys who would start on the other 31 teams as well, because that is what they are getting paid like.

Oh wow. I like Hightower. He's a great receiver out if the backfield and really versatile. And young.
