They keep saying he'll be back, I don't think other teams are beating down his door, and I'm sure he's just playing it smart.... show up late Wed. and sign the contract so he can be on the field Thursday. No big deal.

The reason it is taking long is because Rex wants starter money. We don't want to give him starter money. He feels that we don't have any other options if we don't pick him up, so he is putting us to the fire.

No offense to Rex, but he doesn't have any other options really. Who else is going to put him as the starter? Nobody. Hell, he's not even guaranteed to start here, he has to compete for the job.
