I can't believe people are buying their hype. They still have holes and adding big names doesn't translate to instant success the way it does in other sports.

I still think the Packers are the more complete team.
Packers. Saints. Giants. The class of the NFC this year.

The Eagles have moved themselves into the discussion with a strong free agency period. And, like the Saints, they should be at this level for two or three years. So they very easily could win the SB with this core. Maybe not this year, but they'll be in it for awhile.

But yeah, a one win increase over last year is probably a ceiling for that team. And that's only obtainable because the NFC West is on the schedule. I see this team doing worse than 4-2 in the division this year.

9-7 would be somewhere around my expectation level for them. But they will make the playoffs this year.

Even with Watkins and Harris, Philly still has some problems on the OL. After losing Stewart Bradley their linebacker corps is not the best, either.

The Eagles will be good but I'm not going overboard.

Thats the weakness for the Eagles and the only reason the Redskins have a chance against them. Granted a great D-Line can do many things for you but if the linebackers can't find the ball carriers you can run on people all day. With the Eagles though the question will be if you can keep the game close enough where you can continue running the ball rather then play into their hands on defense by trying to throw against their pass rush and secondary.

The O-Line, yeah it's a bit of a problem but it's not nearly as bad as people think. Theres not a single guy that I now look at up front and say "oh thats a weakness. No one is worse then solid in their projected starting 5 of Peters-Herremans-McGlynn-Watkins-Harris. Sure Peters might be overrated but thats it. Actually I say with the Harris signing they've all but fixed the starting front 5 and if Justice is a backup thats not a bad deal.

Also on the chemistry front I don't think they've really added that many players where chemistry is a concern. We know NA is going to play elite shutdown football. Young is a backup, Brown is a backup, Babin is a temporary starter whos being paired with his old line coach, Jenkins can get up to speed by the end of camp, DRC is a nickel right now. Harris is the only real concern and that might only hurt them for a week or two and even then they have Justice to back him up.

Now I don't know how they're going to do in the playoffs and a lot of that will depend on Vick continuing to grow as a passer, but as far as the regular season is concerned I'm confident they'll dominate.
