Re: Rex reporting for duty!

We are all witness to a "clash of the titans" QB battle.

Rex Grossman aka Butterball aka Sexy Rexy

VS

John Beck aka Who The Heck is This Clown

It's quite simply the most intense battle of prolific QB's in the history of the NFL.

WE ARE SO FREAKIN LUCKY THIS YEAR.

WOW!

Isn't it funny though? I mean the Shanahan's are actually going about the QB situation the right way. Rather then break the bank with a new player or a sexy name they have two guys, (both highly regarded prospects at one time or another) who have sat and learned the system for at least one year.

Yet people are acting like this isn't John Skelton vs Max Hall in 2010. Don't get me wrong I'm as nervous as the QB situation as anyone else but the way they've gone about selecting and coaching their players up, at least on paper, is the right way to do it.

Not to mention the fact that the cap wasn't put at risk with the contracts of Beck and Grossman, nor did the Skins give up draft picks to acquire the players.

Of course not. Skelton is the greatest QB in the league, he's just not allowed to unleash his greatness on the league because in doing so it would ruin the parity that the league has worked towards

Anyway I know you don't think that, you're to level headed to think like that. However there are fans in Redskins nation as well as many outside observers that might as well say that the caliber of QB in DC is no better then the two rookies the Cards were playing last year after they realized that Derrick Anderson was at best, a backup.
