On a side note, the Jabar Gaffney trade I think was a really good one. We got a solid veteran receiver who has rapport with Rex (played together at UF) and is a very polished route runner. We got a guy who had 65 catches last year for a guy who probably wasn't going to make our team. Not bad.
On a complete side note - I really hope Jarmon makes it in Denver. Guy was a quality person and, I think, had the talent to stick & start had he been in the right situation.

That being said - Gaffney & Hightower, right now, look like two seriously solid trades.

For sure. If they stay healthy they will both contribute significantly, and for a grand total of a conditional late round pick and a guy who was getting cut anyway.

Hightower looked phenomenal last night running, catching, and in pass pro. By far the offseason move I'm most excited about.

I know this was a preseason game. I was so happy to not see false starts, fumbles, miss assignments, etc. Everyone was on the same page. I hope they continue this into the next preseason game and beyond. I was pleasantly surprised. HTTR!

Completely agree. Again, I know (b/c Tripp said so) that they destroyed Buffalo last year and maybe I am just remembering the end of the season, but it just seemed that, both in the quality of play & in the what the players have been saying, the team was playing more "teamlike".

McNabb aside, our offensive acquisitions since 2010 have been quite good and measured (outside, perhaps of the quarterbacks). We don't acquire people just to have them. The defense is another story.
