Well I don't know about 2-3 on ANY team (as opposed to each individual being at least a no. 3 receiver), but they definitely should be 2-3 on THIS team.

I woukdnt be opposed to this 2 series each qb during reg season
Also I would think it would make it harder on defenses

Not sure that will work in the pro's Coach Spurrier?
Shamefully, I was thinking the same thing......

Austin is on the team.

Beck should win the starting job.

Yeah but Beck brings so much more to the table athletically, that's all he's talking about.

I agree with Gruden, I think Beck starts 9/11

Beck starts 9/11 we lose the game. All you have to do is bring tremendous pressure and the guy is going to throw stupid INTs. Give him different looks, different blitz packages and he is good for 2-3 INTs. This guy has never cracked 3rd string in his life. Again how many games does Rex Grossman have as a starting QB in the NFL? How many starting in playoff games? Beck looks solid against 2nd teamers and Gruden uses the hype machine to have this guy starting? Sorry, unless Rex gets hurt or really has a crappy season and gets benched, Beck will be a 3rd stringer in 2012, if we resign Rex and draft a QB. Beck hasn't cracked the 3rd string at any of his previous gigs, when he should have easily. He shows potential, but then again, it is against backups.

That may have been your longest post ever without mentioning Gus Frerotte

Rex is just as capable of tossing dumb picks, and fumbling. Remember last year at all?

How did Beck never crack 3rd string when he started 4 games as a rook?

I feel this way as well. Our QB situation is what it is this year. Maybe one of these guys will have a career year and win us some games.

Your argument against beck can be applied against Grossman to an even greater extent.

Or maybe its preseason and they want some tape to analyze.
