Roster Cuts coming and gone

I'm disappointed in Chappell, though I remember reading he wasn't really a good fit here. I was hoping a QB out of nowhere would look promising & make it as a 3rd.

Reed Doughty is the answer.

Horton has little to no chance of making the team.

I don't get why Doughty is being brought up to this conversation. The guy pretty much plays to the level of a backup safety and the coaching staff (at least MS) seem to like him. If he is kept (which I think should happen) it would not be a waste of a roster spot. Now if Horton is kept, it would surprise me because I don't think he has done much this offseason. Although, I wonder if the team is going to cut their losses with Kareem Moore. I mean they got Atogwe and Moore continues to have injury problems.

I don't think doughty deserves to be cut so I don't see that as a surprise. Everyone's expecting him to make the team.

I'm supprised Barnes was cut. I liked what he and Gomez were doing on the field together in preseason.

It was Dante Barns that was cut right? Not Kevin? I am assuming that was the case as KB has been very solid so far this preseason and should contribute this year....finally!

Reed Doughty isn't Ronnie Lott but he continues to be a valuable contributor thru the years.

I think Doughty is a solid player. He is most certainly not the best guy out there and a long shot from being a pro bowler, but he's a solid, dependable guy. Had some big shoes to fill when Taylor died.
