That would be the noob.....

I prefer to root for people who are aren't prima donnas.

Furthermore, I really feel that the D played substantially better towards the end of the season - WITHOUT Landry. that's not an accident....a team plays better when it doesn't have to deal with distractions, like Haynesworth, or any of the host of other on or off the field issues we had to deal with.

Bone crushing hits are great....I get that...so is intimidation and "alligator arms," but when you are taking huge chances and letting people walk into the end-zone because you did not carry out your assignment, how does that help the team?

This right here is a clear sign that you're a LL hatter. Instead of thinking, "gosh it seems our defense really adjusted to their BRAND NEW scheme as the year went on. Oh and Anthony Bryant actually occupying blockers and moving people at NT really helps.

you're thinking "hmmm Laron is out, this HAS to be the reason.

I am a Reed Doughty fan. I don't want to have a million of his babies, but he is a serviceable replacement while LL is hurt. Hopefully with Otagwe back there RD can play closer to the line where he is better suited and comfortable I think.

Nothing wrong with seeing him as a serviceable replacement (imo at least), they're a lot wrong when someone sees him as a viable alternative though.

Forget about me for a minute, I was pointing out the fact that we don't have to have LL on our team to be successful. We are not the Laron Landry Redskins - even though it has a nice ring to it, we are a team.....even in 1991, we won the SB despite not starting arguably our best player of the decade - Russ Grim.

If that's what you were trying to point out, than I agree with you to a certain extent (we still need a better SS than Doughty imo) but you sure have a funny way of pointing things out.
