Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread

It'll be a good game as most of them are. I just don't see how Romo will play w/ a punctured lung. Kudos for him last week playing thru the pain. It's probably going to be worse this week though. Haslett will blitz him though, believe it. The Skins aren't so talented that they would come in and rout the Cowboys even w/ an over the hill QB like Kitna. I think it'll be close. Ware or Orakpo will be the difference makers. I'll say 27-24, Orakpo and the Skins.

I want Romo to play.

Bad.

We haven't had a pass rush like this in FOREVER.

True, but even with a dinged up secondary, Dallas is 4th in yards per game allowed. 1st in sacks and #2 in rushing defense.

So it should be a good defensive battle.

I don't think Cowboys D will be an issue.

Redskins 35
Cowboys 17 or less...

You really care about stats after 2 games?

Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread

They are blogging that Miles could be out til week 5. They just resigned Robinson at WR, so they are prepping for the worst. They would be dumb to risk further injury to Romo, just to prove he is a tough guy. If he plays on monday night, I will suspect the whole thing is a crock of shit.

If the Redskins really are turning around then it will be restored to it's former glory. Giants-Eagles has been the more relevant rivalry the last few years, but the fact that the Redskins-Cowboys still generates buzz, even when the Skins stink should tell you something.

Besides I'm pretty sure there were people saying the same thing about the Bears-Packers rivalry a couple years back.

I tend to agree. Although the history of these two franchises is greatly respected, the Cowboys rivalry with the Giants is now more intense than any other team in the NFC East.

I think free agency is the main culprit. There's just so much movement now a days that you really can't develop hard core rivalries. I mean we now have a former Dallas Cowboy starting on our D-line. That just would've never happened in the old days with Calvin Hill being the exception.
