I hate games like this. If you loose it's the end of the world, if you win it doesn't feel like a meaningful win because the opponent was "to weak." Granted I want to win but it's not the same as say a win against the likes of Dallas, New York (both Jets and Giants), Patriots, etc. The best, somewhat realistic outcome we can hope for is a blow out of St. Louis.

If you win with different players scoring and by at least 10 points, then it's a good win. Otherwise, and for the most part, you're right.

Who cares about 3 years ago. These aren't even the same teams.

We were riding high. They were sucking bad. Similar story here.

We have no reason to be riding high, and I don't think they are as bad as people think. It is not like they have played cupcakes their first three games (Philly, NYG and Baltimore). I expect a good challenge - especially on the road. We will have to play very good to win this game. I think we will play well and I think we should win, but it won't be easy.

Their D is 31st in the league, they're only scoring 12 points per game while giving up 32, their offensive line is a sive... I could go on and on.

I'm not trying to pile on, but right now they're simply a bad team. They've lost 6 of 7 going back to last year, they are clearly heading in the wrong direction.

I blame their current rankings on the 3 teams they've played honestly... to me those numbers mean bupkiss... its gonna be a tough game for us regardless... they will be playing hard and if we don't play our hardest and smartest as well we will lose. if we come out and execute and score points and remain focused and strip Kyle play calling (lol) ... we will win this.one ...I expect a bounce back win here.

I don't disagree with any of those stats, I'm simply saying that I think those stats are a little bit deceiving considering we are only through week 3 and they have played some respectable teams - teams that generally play better than good defense and can put up points on most teams in the NFL.

On the surface it looks as though the Rams are headed in the wrong direction, and perhaps they are. I would also like to think the Skins are headed in the right direction. However, this is week 4 and I still don't really know what to expect. I do think this game will be a good measuring stick for both clubs though.

Same thing could be said of the 2008 Rams. Every prior game they had before the one against us, teams scored 30 or more points against them.

Re: Skins v Rams pregame

I can understand the doubts but I think this team comes back with an attitude and a win. This isn't the same old team and I'd be willing to bet KS has been talked to about his play calling. Personally I can't wait to see our defense play after losing a game we should have won.

We will see. I am on the side of this discussion that worries about our tendency to play down to the opponent, and add in the fact that I expect Steven Jackson to be healthy and ready to play the whole game and I see a recipe for either a meager win or a disastrous loss. Disastrous, because heading into the bye week at 2-2 after 2 losses would lead this team back to the typical role we have played.

I like the talent on this team. I like the coaching on the team. I won't trust that this team can win like it should until we stop finding ways to shoot ourselves in the foot.

Re: Skins v Rams pregame

I really hope we win this one. 3-1 heading into a bye week is a very nice luxury, as 77% of teams that reach week 4 with at least 3 wins make the playoffs. Like I said before, I am really scared for the team this week though. I hope the underachieving Bradford and SJ, along with the talented MSW do not put it all together this week.
