They're losing with more points than we're winning with which will sway some. The keys are to contain the big plays, grind the clock, and find an offensive rhythm. We're giving up less points but need to find a way to score.

DC sports radio has some of the biggest Redskins haters I've ever heard. Seriously when I listen to them it feels like I live in NY (where I'm from) when I hear them speak of the Redskins. It's ridiculous.

The Redskins have been an abomination of an organization for a large portion of the past 20 years. In the past 2 decades, Norv had a good season, Gibbs 2.0 was better than average, and we're headed in the right direction currently, but that aside, what would you like local radio to do? Lie about it? Express false hope and optimism?

I think and old cliche works here- the truth hurts.

I have absolutely no problem with local sports radio giving the Redskins their due (which almost always isn't pretty). I actually find it refreshing. Why should they sugar coat it? I'll tell you one thing, if you want to hear some love, tune into the John Thompson Show w/ Doc Walker on 980 every weekday from 2-4. My god, Doc Walker is homer numero uno.

And on a side note, this thread title is a total fail.

They could go by this season and be a little more optimistic? Especially since the Eagles have had a very bad season so far.

I like the way Doc Walker is sometimes. I think being a Homer is okay.

Agreed, I love Doc - you know what you are getting when you tune in. The way he deals with Cowboy fans who call in is hysterical. Two Mondays ago he played various radio lowlights from the Cowboys collapse against the Lions going into and out of every break. Will never not enjoy listening to him talk about Romo's "competition anxiety."

I used preemptive on purpose. The DJs are having this wake as a CYA. On Monday they won't take a hit if the Skins win because everyone is happy. If the Redskins lose they can say "I told you so". They are trying to avoid a week of shows where they have to explain why they made the obvious pick and got it wrong.
