I think Palmer's failure to perform can be primarily attributed having so little time to learn the playbook. John Beck looked like a total scrub and Kerry Collins was also ineffective when they had to do that.

Plus no training camp, no practice time, etc. This week says little about Carson Palmer.

Palmer really had no business playing this week. He said he knows about 10% of the offense. And that's probably a pretty generous estimate on his part.

Agree in full what were they thinking putting him in after the game was out ouf reach anyway, i know i was a division game but geeeesh. Now the team moral is in the dumps as if it wasnt already.

Well, Al Davis decided that Kyle Boller was worth a roster spot. Looks like even after death, he manages to make fans desire a real GM for the Raiders.

Ah well, at least the Colts game took a little heat off of him.

People judged this trade to soon, you can't expect a QB who's been sitting for 1.5 years come in and perform a miracle. As Palmer learns the offense the Raiders will play better and be contenders, I still think it was a good trade for the Raiders.

Good trade for OAK still, better trade for CIN in the long run. Unless of course OAK wins the big game...

How was Palmer "sitting for 1.5 years?"

He played last year; he "sat" during the offseason the way every NFL player "sat" during the offseason. He missed training camp (4 weeks) and the first 6 weeks of the NFL season.

I didn't think Carson had a single good game left in him. I stand corrected. I still think they will be few and far between though. Cincinnati wins.

Bengals won this trade folks yeah palmer had a good game last night but his first 2 were bad, ntm he's getting older and hasn't really played well in a few years, I still think SD wins the west at 9-7
