NC Skins letter worked. JoePa fired as Penn State head coach. Def. Coord. Tom Bradley named interim head coach.

Good. When Paterno said in his statement that the Board of Trustees should “not spend a single minute discussing my status” I was pretty appalled. I mean that's a slap in the face to the Board. And what right does he have? If I was in his situation I couldn't go to my bosses and say "You know what, don't worry about me. I'm just going to go ahead and do my thing and leave when I'm ready to leave" Just doesn't and shouldn't work that way.

Marcellus Wiley said it best. How could the NCAA not allow Dez Bryant to play another game because he had dinner with Deion Sanders yet Joe Paterno could keep coaching until he decides he doesn't want to anymore.

Sorry, a legacy is ruined, especially so late in his life (kind of reminds me a bit of Helen Thomas' situation), but he had 10 years to do something about it. And he didn't. So he ruined his own legacy

And Sandusky. I mean it totally baffles me how a grown adult could even think of doing the things he did to those kids. And then to actually do them. I feel terrible for those poor kids. The grand jury report is unfortunately very graphic. And if you're mad about the situation without reading it, you'd be livid if you did

Yeah, when I heard JoePa say that, I thought, "Are you for real? You are going to steer the Board of Trustees into not talking about this?" Maybe he's just going senile but he is on another planet and not a very good one.

I'd like to think my (and mooby's) letter worked, but it probably had more to do with every person(including press) outside of Penn State calling for him to be ousted.

My thoughts exactly Smoot. The sheer arrogance of this guy baffled me. In some of the video's the show this interview with him talking about how the President and the AD came to him after the 2004 season and asked him to step down. He said in that interview that he was going to retire on his own terms and when he wanted to. Yeah, this asshole thought he was bigger than the institution. I'm glad I haven't read that grand jury report because I know how I'm going to be and I rather not put myself in that mood.
